The faculty of Mathematics has earned respect internationally for its high class fundamental scientific research. It has an excellent cadre of faculty members some of whom are outstanding scientists in the world.
The Mathematics Department of Quaid-i-Azam University is one of the first few departments of the university. The department was established in 1967. It consists of highly qualified faculty members, most of them are actively engaged in research in the fields of pure, applied and computational mathematics. The department has played a leading role in establishing traditions in mathematical research in Pakistan.
