M.Phil Math

The admissions to courses leading to the degree of Master of Philosophy, abbreviated ‘MPhil/MS; are invited from all over Pakistan and admissions are made on the basis of merit. Eligible foreign students are admitted subject to a valid visa and NOC from HEC.

• M.Phil Mathematics is a two-year degree program comprising of four regular semesters.
  

• To be eligible for admission to MPhil, a candidate:

  • 1Shall possess an MSc/BS degree or its equivalent in the relevant discipline.
  • 2Shall have obtained first division in MSc or BSc or at least 60% marks in BS (Hons) and other 4-5 years degrees.
  • 3Shall not have obtained third division in BS/BSc or MSc.
  • 4In case of a third division in FSc, the candidate should have obtained first division in both BSc and MSc; or at least 60% marks in BS (Hons) and other 4-5 years degrees.
  • 5Provided that any of the condition (2) – (4) above may be relaxed by the Vice- Chancellor in case of a teacher of a University/College and or an employee of a research organization.
  • 6Shall have passed the departmental entry test with at least 50% accumulative score.
